Attendees will be able to enjoy lessons on writing technique, ask questions about the publishing process, and hobnob with published authors. The Brain �鶹��Ƶ ’s Whisper: Catching Cognitive Changes Before They Shout
Presented by Diana Julbe-Delgado, Program Director and Associate Professor of Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology

Join us for an enlightening session on how taking care of your brain today can shape a healthier tomorrow. We will explore how subtle shifts in cognition can serve as early whispers of change �鶹��Ƶ —and how a current research study is working to catch these signs early, opening doors to timely assessment, intervention, and support.

�鶹��Ƶ “Psychedelic Religions: Healing, Connection, and Transcendence in Modern America"

For many, psychedelics and religion make strange �鶹��Ƶ —even heretical �鶹��Ƶ —bedfellows. Yet the United States is home to hundreds of psychedelic churches that hold these powerful psychoactive substances as sacred. Drawing on two years of ethnographic research, this talk explores the beliefs, practices, and communities that comprise this rapidly growing corner of America's religious landscape �鶹��Ƶ —one that challenges us to reconsider what both drugs and religion are in the 21st century.

As part of �鶹��Ƶ �鶹��Ƶ ’s annual ArtsFest, Pittsburgh-based visual artist Jada Patterson will deliver a public talk on Friday, April 10, at 3 p.m. on the first floor of John Stewart Memorial Library. 

�鶹��Ƶ will open an art exhibit featuring artwork by Pittsburgh-based visual artist Jada Patterson on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the Cooley Gallery, located on the second floor of the John Stewart Memorial Library (JSML). The exhibition will run through April 10, 2026, and is open to the public at no cost.
